Welcome to the Bible study section of my home page.  This may not be daily, but I will try to update it with a new study as often as I can.  I hope you check here often to see what the current topic is.  I learn as I give this information to you.  I use The Student's Life Application Bible (New Living Translation) so it may be different from your Bible.  I find this version easier to read and understand.  The topics of the day are chosen by what I feel I should discuss, the mood I'm in, or what I feel led to talk about.
If you would like me to cover a certain subject please email me.
I am not a licensed minister or a pastor.

For topics covered in the past, please look at the archive.

September 15, 1999 :
I have not been updating this Bible study or my web site lately, I've been really busy with college and life.  But as you can see, I have a new Bible study here, and I plan to keep current studies up again.

the current topic is...

September 15, 1999 - Panic
     Psalm chapter 70, verses 1-5
1.  Please God, rescue me!  Come quickly, Lord, and help me.
2.  May those who try to destroy me be humiliated and put to shame.  May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.
3.  Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, "Aha! We've got him now!"
4.  But may all who search fro you be filled with joy and gladness.  May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, "God is great!"
5.  But I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God.  You are my helper and my savior, O Lord, do not delay!

This short psalm was David's plea for God to rush to his aid.  Yet even in this moment of panic, praise was not forgotten.  Praise is important because it helps us remember who God is.  Often our prayers are filled with requests for ourself and others; we forget to thank God for what he has done for us and to worship him for who he is.  Don't take God for granted or treat him as a vending machine.  Even in the midst of his fear, David praised God.
